All MLC’s teachersare certified by the Ontario Ministry of Education and all teachers have a minimum of 10 years in teaching experience. MLC’s teachers have excellent professionalism and teachers are passionate towards helping students achieve their maximum academic potential. Last year, over 80% of MLC’s students graduated into Canada’s top universities.
Trinity Western University’s university preparatory program is also known as the Trinity Western University Pathway Program. The TWU Pathway Program is a university preparatory program that is exclusively authorized to Maple Leaf Collegiate by Trinity Western University.
Trinity Western University Pathway Program (TWU PP) is an exclusive partnership between Trinity Western University (TWU) and Maple Leaf Collegiate (MLC). Trinity Western University’s admission office directly issues priority offers to students who have completed at least 2 full terms at MLC with a minimum average of 75% for grade 12 courses with completed Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) issued by MLC. Once admitted, students can choose freely between 42 undergraduate majors offered by Trinity Western University. No third party language exams such as TOFEL of IELTS are required for international students. The TWU Pathway Program is by far the only program in Canada that enables secondary school students to be directly admitted by Trinity Western University.
This allows international student to plan their post-secondary studies even before they leave their home country. The TWU Pathway Program helps eliminates international students’ risks of studying abroad and gives parents a complete preview of their children’s future academic outlook.
MLC provides students with the option of individual tutoring sessions for any subject students do not feel like they have fully grasped in class.
MLC wants to ensure all students receive the highest level of academic support possible and that they do not fall behind in any class.
Guidance counselors assist students with problems they face outside of the classroom. International students who have recently arrived in Canada can obtain help with living accommodations and other problems they may have studying in a foreign country. Guidance counselors aim to help international students quickly fit into the Canadian lifestyle.
Helping students to be academically successful is essential to MLC, however, MLC also wants students to be successful outside of the classroom. MLC encourages all students to participate in extra-curricular activities, community services, and MLC’s scheduled field trips to let students explore the world outside of the classroom.
MLC provides all students with one to one guidance when students apply for their post-secondary education.
Students can feel free to come back to MLC after starting university if they want to obtain any more guidance in their future career path and even academic help for their university classes. Most teachers at MLC hold a Masters or Doctors degree and they have professional expertise in their field of study.
