Classes and Learning Platform
Maple Leaf Collegiate’s online learning management system is an advanced teaching and learning system that is unique among similar international high schools. The use of this system will fully enhance parents’ understanding of their children’ learning in Canada and facilitate communication between parents and the school, to help students study smoothly. Students and parents can use a computer or download the free Chinese mobile app (only Apple are supported in mainland China). The system has the following main functions:
- Access to class schedules and courses progress through student accounts;
- For teachers to upload syllabus, assignment tasks, and student attendance;
- Assessment results and rubrics for exams can be accessed by parents;
- Download assignments and related requirements set by the teacher;
- Automatically send notifications of school events to account;
- Send notifications of student reports to external email addresses;
- School calendar display function that allows students to track upcoming events
- Notifications of recent events for each class are displayed on the home page.
Enrollment Period
The school has a 3-semester system + summer program with 5 intakes per year, which are September, December, March, July and August. Students can choose to enroll at any time during the different start dates.
Curriculum
We offer 9-12 Grades of English, Math, Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Art, Physical Education, Business, and other courses required by the Ontario Ministry of Education, to meet the needs of students for graduation and further education.
Integrated Development
We offer college AP courses, IELTS training, golf, tennis, speech, drama and other interest classes and clubs. We invite celebrities from politics and business, and professors from famous universities to give lectures to students.
