Who are MLC’s target student base?

MLC accepts domestic and international students from the age of 15 to 22. International students must have the ability to physically travel to Canada. Ontario’s education system recognizes high school level credits from China so students from China do not need to repeat any courses taken previously.

Can I study in Canada with no previous English speaking experience?

Yes, MLC welcomes students without previous English learning or speaking experience. Non-English-speaking international students will be placed in ESL classes.

Student who fails a certain class will only need to repeat that one class in the upcoming term.

Are students encouraged to find work in Canada after graduating from university or college?

Yes, international students are encouraged to find work after graduating from university. The Canadian government issues a three-years open work permit for international students (the U.S government only offers six-months work permit to international students). Students have many co-op and internship opportunities throughout university, so it is likely for international students to acquire jobs in Canada.

What is the typical salary for university graduates in Canada?

In Ontario, the average salary of students with Bachelor degrees is $65,000.

What is a student medical insurance?

Student medical insurance is designed for international students only. With a fee of $600 per year, international students can claim up to 5 million dollars in coverage.

Can parents visit while their children study in Canada?

Yes, parents are allowed to visit their children by applying for a ten-years visitor visa. However, parents are only allowed to stay for 6 months per entry.
